Job Title: Channel Account Manager - Cyber Security

Salary: £40,000 Basic + Commission

Location: Basingstoke


We are working with an established a specialist IT Security company offering a unique opportunity given that they are a leading vendor in the security awareness market, delivering their own services under the Cyber Security Awareness Brand while also being a traditional cyber security reseller. With more than 1000 current customer accounts, operating in the UK to the B2B market across all business sizes and sectors.

With strong, competitive, high value offerings, excellent customer service and highly successful marketing has led to an influx of partner enquiries. As a result the requirement is for someone to manage and maximise the relationships with both existing and new partners.

In Addition to this our client see the channel as a massive growth area and we have already invested in a custom-built partner portal, partner contracts and partner enablement marketing to facilitate this growth.

We are looking a self-motivated Channel Account Manager to drive the channel forward by recruiting new partners and better supporting current and new partners to correctly position and proactively sell our services.

Key Areas of the Role:

  • Take over the management of existing partners
  • Onboard new partners
  • Proactively call and pitch to prospect partners
  • Deliver service demonstrations (primarily our well-established Security Awareness service) to prospect partners and to partners customers
  • Manage the partner relationships ensure they are meeting their partner requirements
  • Drive the partners to correctly market our services and increase their spend to achieve higher margins %
  • Participation in planning and preparing marketing campaigns along with your own targeted campaigns
  • Deliver 1 to many webinars for partners
  • Attend networking and industry events
  • Face to face meetings with partners and their clients
  • Train and enable partners on service and opportunity
  • Train and enable partners on the partner portal and other bespoke resources they receive
  • Accurate forecasting of anticipated sales is required, along with regular activity reporting
  • Managing partner deal registration and ensuring the highest integrity and partner protection
  • Collate and disseminate service feedback from partners, and their customers, back into the Sales and CSA team

Required Experience/attributes:

  • Previous IT Security Sales experience and must also have IT security solution knowledge.
  • Experience at IT Vendor/Distributor dealing with partners is desirable.
  • Excellent presentation skills (Online demo/Webinar)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required
  • Must be driven, self-motivated and disciplined
  • Articulate and polished with a professional approach to sales
  • Eager to learn and develop

Hours: Monday to Friday 09.00 am to 5.30pm (1 hour for Lunch)

Commission: Uncapped commission will be paid on the GP from partner deals. Activity and sign up KPI's will enable a higher commission %

Targets will be based around:

  • New reseller partner sign ups
  • Referral partner sign ups
  • Number of partners transacting 1 new deal per month (starting small and increasing over time)
  • Number of partners transacting 2+ deals per month (starting small and increasing over time)
