Job Title: Head of Corporate Accounts - Running team of 5
Salary: £80,000 basic, £4,800 car allowance, £120,000 OTE
Location: UK Based - Fully Remote

The Role

We're looking for an experienced Sales Manager to spearhead the Corporate Accounts function.

In this role you will be responsible for driving proactive customer retention and play an active role in leading and supporting on high value, complex and competitive contract renewals. You will not hold a personal sales target, your focus will be to enable your team to achieve the best possible results and achieve the team target on a consistent basis,

You will be highly effective at questioning to gain understanding of a customer's business, their aspirations, objectives and growth strategy along with any associated obstacles and challenges so to identify opportunities to bring value through technology and professional services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and lead a team of 5 account executives including Account Directors and Relationship
  • Develop and implement the contact strategy for Corporate Accounts ensuring all customers are properly engaged and meaningful relationship
  • Develop and implement consistent high standards and best practices for account
  • Attend customer meetings and provide support, mentoring and coaching to account executives.
  • Accountability for safeguarding and retaining all baseline revenue associated with Corporate Accounts including circa £20m in annual revenue and 300 customers.
  • Manage and develop the customer retention and revenue retention playbook, proactively managing contract renewals for Corporate Accounts.
  • Lead the bid process for high value, complex, contract renewals, mobilising bid teams and key stakeholder groups.
  • Accurately forecasting baseline revenue and churn.
  • Proactive account development, opportunity identification and lead generation for sales alignment.
  • Drive monthly recurring revenue and net revenue growth for Corporate Accounts.
  • The senior point of escalation for customers.
  • Maintain and develop the skills and knowledge of products and services for the Corporate Accounts Team appropriate to customers.

The person specification

  • 10+ years management and leadership experience in the ICT sector (telco, comms, unified comms, IT services), including but not limited to, hiring, performance management, coaching and mentoring.
  • Proven track record in account management and account development of large and enterprise customers.
  • Practical experience of developing and implementing contact strategies customer retention strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Consultative sales and customer engagement experience.
  • Proven experience in creating and maintaining customer facing and sales documentation.
  • Understanding and demonstration of excellent customer service.
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Customer facing with excellent presentation skills.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and prioritise workload.
  • Ability to write relevant and accurate reports.
  • Excellent Microsoft office skills, specifically
  • Excel and Power BI.
  • Attention to detail and high level of conformity to business system adoption (CRM, collaboration tools).

Desirable

  • Knowledge and experience of SMB customer engagement, account management and account development.
  • Knowledge and experience of leading desk and field
  • based sales and account management teams.
  • Experience of P&L budget ownership for revenue,
  • gross profit and contribution.
