IT Account Manager Opportunity - Fast-Paced MSP

We are recruiting on behalf of an award-winning Managed IT Service Provider (MSP) in the South West known for its commitment to staff growth and rewards. The Role: Strategic IT Account Manager (solutions focused)

As an Account Manager, you will be the key link between the existing MSP and its clients who are mainly throughout the Southwest (within an hour from the office). This isn't just a sales role; you will act as a dedicated, outsourced IT Manager for your clients, focusing on building long-term trust and strategic partnerships. As a result this role favours someone from a technical IT Background who is interested in Sales through a solutions approach.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders.

  • Strategic Consultation: Attend Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and board-level strategy meetings with client decision-makers.

  • Risk & Solution Identification: Evaluate client IT infrastructure to identify risks and present strategic solutions that drive business efficiency and growth.

  • Technology Oversight: Oversee client technology operations, evaluating them against established internal processes and toolsets.

  • Policy Development: Devise and establish information policies and systems to support strategies set by clients' senior management.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with an in-house team of solutions experts to deliver top-tier service.

Who We're Looking For

We are seeking IT professionals who are ready for the next level:

  • Technical Background: Individuals with advanced 2nd line or 3rd line technical experience who are looking to transition into a customer-facing role.

  • Alternatively: Someone with proven work experience (3+ years) as an Account Manager, IT Account Manager, Customer-facing 3rd Line, or similar role.

  • Experience: 5 years of IT support or Account Management experience is preferred.

  • Licence: A Driving Licence is required (for the company car).

Schedule and Location

  • Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

  • Schedule: 8-hour shift, Monday to Friday.

  • Work Location: In person – candidates must be able to reliably commute to Frome or be willing to relocate.

    • This role is office-based during the initial 3-month probation period. Occasional remote work flexibility is available thereafter (at least 3 days a week in the office).
