Job Title: Bookkeeper
Salary: £12.90 per hour (Umbrella/Ltd)
Location: Cowbridge
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Temp to Permanent
Hours: Full time - Monday to Friday
We are working with an accountancy practice who have an urgent requirement for an experienced Bookkeeper. Previous experience with Xero is essential and ideally experience with document capture software like Hubdoc would be advantageous.
As this business has heavily utilised software within the business a good level of computer literacy is essential.
Candidate must be qualified to a minimum of AAT lvl 3 and are ideally starting their ACCA qualification.
The salary is based on £10 per hour PAYE as this is what the rate is once going permanent with the employer. On Umbrella/Ltd this equates to £12.90 per hour
Within the role you will be expected to complete the following:
- Managing a portfolio of clients and being their first point of contact.
- Day to day bookkeeping.
- Account's preparation up to trial balance.
- Preparation of VAT Returns under different VAT schemes.
- Sorting invoices, preparing spreadsheets, submission of forms to tight deadlines.
- Liaising with HMRC as and when required.
- Updating internal databases
