Job Title: Business Development Executive

Salary: £25k + Commission

Location: Cardiff (currently home based but will need to be able to work from office as well)

Reporting to: Sales Manager

Job Purpose

We are looking for an innovative Business Development Executive to join an innovate and unique IT Consultancy Provider in Cardiff South Wales.

Initially the primary role of the is to identify new clients through outbound activity in order to creating leads/appointments for the Business Development Manager. Commission is paid on a per lead basis with no cap.

Once you have built a good understanding of the process you will then look to complete the full sales cycle enabling you to earn commission on a % of deal value. This is a very attractive commission plan which has been built to reward high achieving sales staff.

A good understanding of the Microsoft Suite is beneficial these include:

  • Microsoft Power BI
  • Microsoft Sharepoint
  • Microsoft Power Apps
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365
  • Microsoft Teams
  • Etc

However, all previous candidates with business to business IT sales experience are welcome to apply

Duties & Responsibilities

The Duties & are as follows

New Business:

  • Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business
  • Cold call as appropriate within your market or geographic area to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities
  • Identify potential clients, and the decision makers within the client organization
  • Research and build relationships with new clients, developing strong warm leads
  • Set up meetings between client decision makers and company's practice leaders/Principals
  • Handle objections to affect a positive outcome and work through differences to a positive conclusion
  • Use a variety of styles to persuade or negotiate appropriately
  • Present an image that is professional and credible
  • Create present and host online webinars to generate leads into your pipeline
  • Ensure that data is accurately entered and managed within the Systems
  • Understand the company's goal and purpose so that will continual to enhance the company's performance

Education & Experience

The candidate is required to meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 year's experience in Business Development roles
  • Demonstration of proactive behaviour and ability to increase revenue
  • Experience of working within the IT or Telecoms industry (Microsoft experience is highly preferable)

The group has since re-branded and build a foundation of clients, and has a strong public sector reputation as an IT Consultancy Services provider and therefore requires this new role to be based from a new office in Cardiff to lead the growth of new business.
