We are recruiting for a Head of Projects position to work on a hybrid basis and join our client who's head office is in Surrey. In this role, you will report to the CEO and be responsible for leading, managing and developing the Projects team.

What you will do:

You will be required to drive service excellence, define operational performance standards, streamline business processes to enhance performance and provide efficiencies whilst developing a high-performance culture. You will be responsible for getting the best out of the team by having a natural talent for motivating and a hands-on approach when it comes to managing changes. All of this must be complimented by leadership, influencing and relationship building skills!!

Role specific Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the effective operation and management of the Projects team.
  • Manage and improve, as appropriate, standards, systems and procedures within the team.
  • Track and report on resource utilisation on projects

  • Identify areas for additional value add and service development within the project management function
  • Manage and motivate team to provide outstanding service to a demanding customer base, ensuring delivery times and targets are met.
  • Managing and reviewing allocation of all orders that are assigned to the Projects Team.
  • Assisting with workload and personally managing selected projects as required.
  • Acting as an escalation point for the Project Management team
  • Monitoring and producing monthly KPIs on all completed projects
  • Assist with Tender responses and providing Professional Service quotes.
  • Ensure working practices are well defined and operational with minimal disruption using technology to improve efficiency as appropriate.
  • Review priorities and take appropriate action to ensure results are achieved.
  • Encourage open communication between team members, suggesting and driving forward ideas about how they can work more effectively together.
  • Cascade business objectives and targets and develop a culture of continual improvement.
  • Provide input into the company service delivery strategy.
  • Produce management reports and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure knowledge and records are maintained and kept up to date in relation to assigned projects, providing prompt and accurate information, advice and guidance to colleagues and Customers.
